Anna Kate Nieman

Anna Kate has been dancing for over 20 years and specializes in pom, hip hop, jazz, and contemporary. She attended Arizona State University and the University of Cincinnati and was a member of both nationally ranked dance teams, competing at UDA College Nationals in D1A jazz, pom, and hip hop categories. Over the past 10 years Anna Kate has travelled the country teaching, coaching, and choreographing for high school, college, and all star teams. Choreography credits include the University of Cincinnati, DuPont Manual High School, Millard West High School, Champion Legacy All Stars, and South Dakota State University. Anna Kate is also a registered yoga teacher and licensed occupational therapist. She has completed numerous additional yoga trainings including those in kids yoga, energetic anatomy, and meditation. She continues to use her diverse background to reach people of all ability levels, promoting health and body awareness through dance and movement. 

Brooke Peterson

Brooke has been dancing for over 18 years and specializes in pom, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. She is an alumni of The Ohio State University and was a member of their nationally ranked dance team for all four years she attended. She has received numerous national championship at UDA College Nationals in D1A Pom and D1A Jazz from 2019-2022. She grew up dancing at Champion Legacy Dance Academy with whom she won three World Championships in hip hop, jazz, and pom at the USASF Dance Worlds. She has worked with and choreographed numerous solos, trios, and high school teams across the state. Brooke is currently earning her doctoral degree in physical therapy at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Her ability to balance studies and school is a reflection of her incredible work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Brooklin Northdurft

Brooklin has been dancing for over 17 years and specializes in pom, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop styles. She trains at Champion Legacy Dance Academy with whom she has won numerous World Championships including two gold medals in pom and one in jazz at the USASF Dance Worlds. Brooklin has choreographed solos, duets, and high school teams across the region. Brooklin currently attends Minnesota State University and is pursuing a degree in marketing with a minor in dance. She is currently a member of the award winning MSU Dance Team and has won numerous titles in pom and jazz at UDA Nationals. Her energetic attitude and passion for dance spark the best in those that she works with and we are lucky to have her as an integral part of our Summer Dance Connection team. 

Kayla Messner

Kayla has been dancing for over 15 years and specializes in Pom, Jazz and Hip hop styles. Kayla trains at Champion Legacy Dance Academy with whom she has won a World Championship in Pom, along with silver and bronze medals in Pom and Hip Hop at the USASF Dance Worlds.  Kayla is a three time South Dakota State Competitive Dance and Cheer Champion. She was proud to be named DX All American Dancer in 2022. Kayla currently attends Grand Canyon University where she studies marketing and teaches yoga. She also competes with Champion Legacy in the Open Pom and Jazz divisions. Kayla's fun personality and ability to connect with dancers is part of what makes her an amazing asset to our team.

Tyler Koester

Tyler has been dancing for over 19 years and specializes in contemporary, jazz, pom, and hip hop. He is classically trained in ballet for over 15 years including, reaching grade 5 in the Cecchetti program. Tyler continues to train at Champion Legacy Dance Academy with whom he has won two gold medals in pom at the USASF Dance World Championships. Tyler currently coaches dance at Champion Legacy Dance Academy and is a volunteer coach for the highly awarded Washington High School Highsteppers. Tyler's love for dance shines through in everything that he does from performing to choreographing. 

Destiny Ridge

Destiny began her training in dance and gymnastics at 3 years old with Dance Unlimited in California. She continued to train in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, breakdancing, hip-hop, and acrobatics. She trained extensively with Eastern Washington Elite Dance Team, winning 3 National Championships and a USASF World Championship in Hip Hop. She was a member of the Arizona State Dance Team, placing top 5 at UDA College Nationals. She was also a member of the University of Cincinnati Dance Team, representing Team USA in Hip Hop at the 2016 ICU World Championships and winning the gold medal. As captain and assistant choreographer, she led the Bearcats to a National Championship in D1A Hip Hop at UDA College Nationals. She graduated with a bachelors degree in Exercise and Fitness Health Education. She now continues to train in LA in addition to teaching students contemporary, lyrical, jazz, acro, and hip-hop. Destiny has an infectious energy and encourages those around her to be their best.
